14 Fonts that Will Make Your Website STAND OUT.

In order to have a unique font on your website, you will want to buy a font. Since most people use the free fonts that come with Squarespace, your site and brand will be unique and recognizable just by adding a unique header font.

The fonts I am recommending are from Creative Market and are in the range of $14-30. Well worth the price for a completely custom look and feel on your website and other collateral. Instructions on how to embed a new font on your website are at the bottom of this page.

This is actually the header font on my website. I only use it for H1 and H2 otherwise I think it would be a little overbearing. This is a sophisticated yet fun font that is sure to elevate your brand and boost recognizability.

#15 BONUS: Art Deco Bundle

I like most of the fonts in this bundle. It includes Sage and Evangelina from this list. I wouldn’t necessarily purchase a bundle unless you’re a designer that has a use for all of these typefaces. You definitely do not want to mix and match most of these fonts.

Embed a new font on your Squarespace website:

Step 1: Upload your font file to your custom files. (Design>Custom CSS>Manage Custom Files)

Step 2: Copy and paste this code into your custom css (Design>Custom CSS) and insert your font file in lieu of the text below that says '“Insert font file”

@font-face {

font-family: 'FontTitle';

src: url('INSERT FONT FILE');

}

h1 {font-family: 'FontTitle';}

Step 3: Copy and paste this for each header or paragraph you would like to use this font for. (H1, H2, H3, H4 or P1, P2, P3)

Boom, all done!

Any of these fonts is sure to add some personality to your organization or brand.

If you end up using one of these, I’d love to see it on your website! So, send me a message at sarah@magdalenedesignco.com
